We all know the strong and weak investment banks.  The weak investment banks don’t have their act together, and since I became a banker in 1988, they still don’t.  My client was screaming to be heard, screaming to make a difference.  However, how do you make a difference with dysfunctional management, poor systems, and a culture of “who cares unless the regulators slap us with a fine”.

My clients don’t settle.  With this client in particular, we practiced interview preparation.  Interview preparation is very simple.  Satisfy your agenda.  You can’t control anything in the interviewer’s mind.  You can influence, yes.  Influence by satisfying your agenda.  Don’t have an agenda?  Then you’re not prepared.
